Thanks to its selectable cartridges, the IQAir GC series is able to meet almost any moderate gas phase removal need in residential or commercial environments. Currently there are four specialized gas phase media configurations available. The GC Chemisorber (for control of formaldehyde, hydrogen sulfide, sulfur dioxide, etc.) is a professional choice for the control of specific offgassing. Hydrogen sulfide and sulfur dioxide are chemicals produced in and around coal plants, active oil fields, and industiral manufacturers using petrochemicals. Formaldehyde is common in many of today's chemicals, and is one of the primary contaminants of common smog. It is also one of the most common problems of today's sealed environments, as a bi product of glues, finishes and varnishes. It is especially toxic when increased heat is present.
